Inspired by a friend (Athens Marathon)

Today I was inspired by my friend Degan Beley, who is training to run a marathon in Athens Greece in November 2007 and fund-raising for the Arthritis Society.

She has a talented writing style whereby you really get a sense of the difficulty and rewards that training brings to her.

Plus she a very cute dog,... Sofia, who has her dog Dogbook (Facebook). Um,.... I borrowed a thumbnail of Sofia, but stopped short of "Add Sofia as a Friend"...

Anyway, I'll be following Degan's marathon training efforts and her journey to Athens with fond support. Cheers!

Boating, crabbing and fishing with "Prawn King" (and Queen) in the summers is a highlight of our summers. Each time, we have oodles of fun at Centre Bay.

Ian and the Terrain Park

A couple years ago (2005), Ian McYork, Logan and I went skiing at Whistler like we often did during "Lad's Week". I believe Ian rented skis on this particular occasion, instead his regular snowboard. The following picture was drawn by Logan (age 9) about Ian's adventure in the Terrain Park. It's a classic! :-)
